When you come here it is not about the 'right' clothes or political party or knowing the songs by heart or having the 'perfect' family and relationships...in fact, we know we all have pretty messed up lives at times. When you come here it is okay not to be okay. Everyone is welcome. Come with your questions, your fears, your doubts and grow alongside others. We want to be a place where we share and can wrestle with what God is doing in our lives. We hope others see and are drawn to the same transforming message of freedom and joy that comes only in Jesus Christ. Come and be part!
What we beleive and confess
We believe that there is one God existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (John 10:30; Matt. 3:16-17; 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14).
We believe there is salvation and transformation in no one else but Jesus. He is the only one who died and rose again to pay for all sins (John 3:36; Acts 4:12; 1 John 5:12).
We believe in the inerrancy and authority of the Holy Scriptures. The Bible shapes our worship and how we live and interact in this world (2 Sam. 23:2; Is. 6:8-10; Jer. 1:7-8; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21).
We believe that baptism is a means of burial and resurrection and that it washes away our sins (Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:11-13; Acts 22:16; 1 Cor. 6:11; Eph. 5:26; Titus 3:5). Since salvation is God's work and baptism washes away sins, we baptize infants of parents who recognize this gift is for all, because they too are of the kingdom of God (Luke 18:15-17; Matt. 21:15-16; Acts 2:39; Acts 16:15; 18:33; 1 Cor. 1:16).
We believe that the Lord's Supper mysteriously is the true body and blood of Jesus Christ in with and under the bread and wine, given weekly for the forgiveness of our sins (Matt. 26:26-28; Mark 14:22; John 6:53-58; 1 Cor. 10:16; 11:27-29).
We believe that the Christian life is characterized by daily repentance and growth in the good news of Jesus Christ (Matt. 3:2; Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; Rev. 2:5, 16, 22; 3:3, 19).
We believe that the church is the body of Christ sent on mission to make disciples of the Spring Grove area and beyond (Matt. 28:18-19; Mark 16:16; Luke 24:46-47; John 20:23; Acts 1:8).
We believe that Jesus Christ will come again and welcome repentant people to eternal life and unrepentant people to eternal punishment (Matt. 25:46; Rev. 20:11-15).
